I am a piper of more than 15 years of experience living in Portland. I studied with Jay Salter of Santa Cruz, CA and later received instruction in piobaireachd from Jimmy McColl and Allan MacDonald of the famous piping family from Glenuig, Scotland. Currently, I am the only piper in the state of Oregon who can play not only Scottish Highland bagpipes and Scottish small pipes

On the uilleann pipes, I often perform in Portland with some of the area’s finest Irish traditional musicians. In 2009 I performed in the Portland Christmas Revels alongside internationally-renowned fiddle player Kevin Burke.

I am happy to discuss any number of details with you to ensure that your event is a memorable occasion with music that is suited for the moment. For small pipes and uilleann pipes, I can arrange for duets, trios, or small groups featuring fiddle, guitar, and other instruments.
