Piper Hans-Michael Muller

Hello everyone, if you want to embellish your event, celebration, vernissage, wedding, party, graduation, birthday, whiskey tasting with bagpipe music, then you’ve come to the right place. The incomparable sound of the Great Highland Bagpipe will make your event , like many others, an unforgettable experience !

The bagpipes are not my first instrument, I started making music as a child. So I learned at a young age to play the clarinet in the local band ( Bundesmusikkapelle St. Ulrich a.P. ). When I heard about the first bagpipe course in Austria in 2001 , I immediately signed up because this instrument has always fascinated me!

Since then I have remained true to the bagpipe and have attended many workshops or taken lessons from renowned bagpipe players such as Pipe Major Dipl. David Johnston(Germany/Northern Ireland), John Angus Smith (Great Britain), Robert McFie (Scotland), Robert Watt (Northern Ireland), Tommy Campbell (Australia/Scotland), Pipe Major John Terence (Canada), Shane Steward (New Zealand), Pipe Major Linden M. Ingram (Scotland), Pipe Major Bruce Hitchings MBE BEM (New Zealand/Scotland), Margaret Dunn (Ireland/Scotland), Finlay MacDonald BASM (Scotland), Dr. Simon MacKerrel, Roddy MacLeod MBE (Scotland), Ryan Canning (Northern Ireland/Scotland), Glenn Brown (Canada/Scotland), John Mulhear (Scotland), trying to improve my game!

First pipe band in Tyrol

Playing ”solo” is very fascinating, but anyone who has ever heard a pipe band knows that for a bagpiper this is of course a ”must do”! In the summer of 2005 , the first Tyrolean pipe band , the Pillersee Pipers , was founded. We started with two pipers from St. Ulrich a. P. The band has been constantly expanding, so we now have a complete drum register. As a result, musicians who do not come from the Pillerseetal area also joined the band and at some point the name no longer fitted. So in the summer of 2006 the Red Eagle - Tyrolean Pipe Band was formedfounded. The members of this formation come from North Tyrol, South Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Salzburg and Carinthia. We try to play original Pipes and Drums music at the highest possible level . If anyone is interested in hearing the band play, please just get in touch
